1. The Bight at Norman Island, British Virgin Islands
Let’s kick things off with a spot that’s practically tailor-made for motor yachts. The Bight at Norman Island is one of those places that seems like it was created for those who love the sea.
The protected anchorage offers calm waters, making it a perfect overnight spot for your yacht.
But what really sets The Bight apart is its pirate lore and underwater treasures. Snorkeling here is a must—explore the nearby caves where legends say pirates once hid their loot. And when the sun dips below the horizon, you can head ashore to the famous Willy T floating bar for some fun. It’s the perfect blend of adventure and relaxation.

2. Maho Bay, St. John, US Virgin Islands
If your idea of paradise involves tranquil waters and soft, sandy beaches, Maho Bay on St. John is calling your name. We love cruising into Maho Bay because it feels like you’ve stepped into a postcard. The waters are shallow, warm, and teeming with turtles.
In fact, Maho Bay is one of the best spots in the Caribbean for turtle watching—you’ll often see them popping their heads up right next to your yacht. And if you’re into paddleboarding or kayaking, the calm waters here are perfect for a leisurely paddle around the bay.

3. Marigot Bay, Saint Lucia
Marigot Bay isn’t just beautiful—it’s iconic. This sheltered anchorage is surrounded by lush green hills and palm trees that sway gently in the breeze. What we adore about Marigot Bay is its mix of natural beauty and modern amenities. After a day of cruising, you can anchor up and head to one of the chic waterside restaurants for dinner.
The bay is also well-protected, making it a fantastic spot during the hurricane season. And don’t forget to keep your camera handy—sunsets here are absolutely magical.
4. Petit St. Vincent, The Grenadines
Now, if you’re looking for seclusion and a touch of luxury, Petit St. Vincent is your go-to anchorage. This private island is a real gem in the Grenadines, with crystal-clear waters that are perfect for snorkeling and diving.
The anchorage here is small but cozy, offering a peaceful spot to relax. One of the reasons we keep coming back to Petit St. Vincent is the island’s exclusive feel. There’s a stunning resort on the island, and while it’s high-end, it’s also low-key, blending seamlessly with the natural surroundings. This spot is all about unplugging and recharging—pure bliss.
5. The Tobago Cays, The Grenadines
Ah, the Tobago Cays. This group of tiny uninhabited islands is a slice of Caribbean heaven. When we think of the ultimate Caribbean anchorage for motor yachts, the Tobago Cays are always top of mind. The water is that perfect shade of turquoise, and the marine life is off the charts.
If you love snorkeling, you’ll be in your element here—the coral reefs are vibrant, and you’re almost guaranteed to spot rays, turtles, and a rainbow of fish. The anchorage itself is well-protected by Horseshoe Reef, making it an ideal spot to drop anchor and soak up the natural beauty all around you.
